Your baby’s first educational experience matters. At Prep Montessori Academy preschool, our infant care program provides a warm, loving environment where babies from 6 weeks to 18 months develop trust, security, and the foundation for lifelong learning before transitioning to our preschool programs.
Dr. Maria Montessori understood that learning begins at birth. Our infant program at our Garland preschool follows her philosophy that babies are active learners who absorb everything in their environment. We create peaceful, orderly spaces filled with age-appropriate materials that stimulate brain development and encourage exploration.
Unlike traditional daycare, Montessori infant care at our preschool focuses on your baby as an individual. We respect their natural rhythms, support their developmental milestones, and provide the consistency they need to feel safe and secure before moving to our toddler preschool program.
With only five infants per caregiver at our preschool, your baby receives the individual attention they need. Our teachers learn each baby’s unique cues, preferences, and developmental pace, providing truly personalized care.
Babies thrive with consistency at our preschool. Your child will have the same dedicated caregivers each day, building the secure attachment relationships that support healthy emotional development.
We honor your baby’s natural sleeping and feeding rhythms at our Garland preschool. Rather than forcing a rigid group schedule, we follow individual routines that respect each infant’s needs.
Stay connected with daily reports from our preschool detailing feedings, diaper changes, sleep periods, activities, and developmental milestones. You’ll never wonder how your baby’s day went.
Our infant room at our preschool is meticulously maintained with strict sanitation protocols. From floor to ceiling, we create a clean, healthy space that minimizes germ exposure and keeps your baby safe.
Age-appropriate preschool materials in varying textures, sizes, and shapes stimulate cognitive development. Tummy time, sensory exploration, and gentle interactions build the neural connections your baby needs.
When you walk into our infant room at our Garland preschool, you’ll notice the calm, peaceful atmosphere. Soft lighting, organized spaces, and gentle music create an environment where babies feel safe to explore. Our preschool teachers spend time on the floor with infants, engaging in face-to-face interactions that build language skills and emotional bonds.
Throughout the day at our preschool, babies enjoy freedom of movement, tummy time for strength building, sensory experiences with safe materials, and plenty of cuddles. We encourage self-feeding as babies grow, fostering the independence that is central to the Montessori preschool philosophy.
As your baby reaches specific developmental milestones and approaches 18 months, they’ll transition to our toddler preschool program. This bridge experience is handled with care, ensuring your child feels confident and excited about their new preschool classroom adventure.
Our infant program at our Garland preschool operates Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM. We understand the needs of working families and offer flexible scheduling options. Enrollment includes a tour of our preschool, meeting with our infant room teachers, and completing our enrollment packet.
